With the sort of hard use that most pilots dish out to the Vigor and Vigor CS, it can get to be a bother having to change the rubber dampners that come with the kits. Even the firmer dampners wear out fairly quickly under hard use and require maintenance. The new RVO1060 O-Ring Dampner kit from Horizon offers a stiffer (but tunable) option that gives firm response with less maintenance. It's pretty simple to install, took us about 10 minutes including tear-down and rebuild. |

| Above is the kit as you get it. The 2 o-rings on the left are the "firm" ones, the 4 on the right are softer. You only use two. Note also the "cup" that hold the dampners and the extra shim washers. | After removing your grips and spindle and the stock rubber dampners, you use a SMALL amount of JB Weld to glue the cups into the head as shown. Be sure to clean the cups and the head with alcohol first and let dry, then glue and remove any excess glue immediately. You'll have to wait a bit for the glue to dry before proceeding. | ||||||||

| Above you see the complete assembly. O-rings, standard spacer and new shim spacer. The O-rings need to be lubricated with Tri-Flow or similar. When the grips are installed, the o-rings are fully inside the head. Pretty cool and easy modification. | |||||||||
