ThunderTigre Raptor Mini Review

The ThunderTigre Raptor 30 is the great way to get a DECENT flying and simple to build heli in the air. These are really GREAT flying helis, and if you have to suffer a crash THIS is the heli you want to be buying repair parts for! The Raptor 30 is available in the basic 29BB kit or in a 49BB ARF. Here's a short list of Likes and Dislikes:    Good Things about the Raptor:  Not Good Things about the Raptor: Inexpensive Simple design aids building & repairs. You can drop the engine without even removing the muffler! It flies VERY well - as with most modern helis it can be set up for either "mild" or "wild" as you wish. The assembly work on the ARF''s is generally quite adequate. Parts are not only cheap, but often more complete than other brands. Belt Drive TR is simple and effective. The stock ARF muffler absolutely sucks. It's loud and either leaks, falls off or both. ARF only - the TT39 engine has poorer quality control than OS - some of the ThunderTigres are exceptionally good engines, some won't run at all. In general they are okay for the money.
