- Model Avionics Optical Heli
- TACHOMETER
Ever wonder how the "pros" know exactly what the
head speed is (rotor RPM's) on their heli? They measure it!
The HOT new tachometer from Model Avionics costs about 40%
less than the Miniature Aircraft tach. It works the same as the
others, Simply have a helper sight thru the tach while you fly.
By adjusting the "Increase/Decrease" switch you find
a setting where the blades are optically "stopped"
and that's the RPM - displayed in the large, easy to read "RPM"
window.
The Display shows 3 digits so you'll have to add the "0"
at the end ; in other words a display of 175 means 1750 rpm.
The accuracy is at least as good as the MA or Kyosho units (where
the last digit is just a placeholder - it always reads "0")
and it's smaller, spools up faster and is virtually always in
stock. Warranty and service are the best of the breed.
Photo is the current unit with the switch moved to the rear
for easier use and less chance of toolbox rash.
Requires one 9v battery, NOT included. Auto-off function extends
battery life. RPM Range is 1,000 to 2,800 rpm
