CNC Rear Servo Mounts from D'Best Co.

Here's another really great product from D'Best Co! We have many different options for boom mounting your tail rotor servo, but this is the first one that gets EVERYTHING right! Here are our favorite points:

  • The mounting rings use one 3mm bolt per ring to both attach the plate and clamp to your boom. This is possible because of the innovative and unique steel hinge pin at the top of the ring.
  • The Mounting Plate is designed to fit both Futaba and JR tail servos without any filing, drilling or modification.
  • The rings and plate are precision CNC machined from high strength aircraft grade aluminum with a beautiful anodized finish (either purple or black!)
  • ALL of the hardware is included for mounting the servo to the plate and the plate to the mounting rings.
  • The servo plate is a sturdy 2mm thick and the mounting holes are spaced to provide optimum support and rigidity.
  • Servo position allows you to use the stock pushrod setup easily, or the direct carbon pushrod setup.
  • These made in the USA mounts are very reasonably priced!
  • In stock now for Ergo 30/46/60, Vigor, Raptor 30, Raptor 50, Raptor 60. More due soon.

Below is a typical installation of the DBC Servo Mount. The servo (with its grommets and brass eyelets) is installed from the back side of the mounting plate which positions the output arm very nicely for a straight run to the tail bellcrank. The 3mm ring bolts and washers are installed through the servo mounting plate and into the mounting rings. (DO NOT put the plate between the rings!) After everything is positioned you SNUG the two 3mm bolts and you're ready to rock! OBVIOUSLY you need to use PERMANENT thread locking compound on ALL of the fasteners! (Red Loctite™ 262 or equivalent). NOTE! DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN the two 3-mm bolts as you can damage the boom or the mounting rings with too much force. Just tighten them until you can't move the rings with reasonable force and then STOP.

As you can see at left, the mounting plate is installed on the OUTSIDE of the mounting rings.
